Behavioral Health
TruEvolution’s Behavioral Health Department offers psychotherapy by mental health professionals to support the emotional and physical well-being of clients. We are committed to providing services that are affirmative, sex-positive, culturally competent, and trauma-informed care to address the mental and emotional health needs of members of the community with a special emphasis on the needs and strengths of the LGBTQ+ community.
Services include:

Crisis Intervention
and Support
Any TruEvolution client who is experiencing an acute crisis (newly diagnosed with HIV, recently displaced, traumatic or violent experiences, etc.) can receive crisis intervention services by one of our master’s level behavioral health clinicians to assess their emotional stability and mental state while providing necessary support and care. Eligible clients who wish to continue services are then enrolled into ongoing counseling designed to achieve their long-term mental and emotional wellness goals.
Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy
TruEvolution offers ongoing behavioral health support for a variety of problems our clients may be experiencing. Our licensed and pre-licensed clinicians provide individual therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients. As well as serving individuals, our clinicians are well-versed in helping couples (including non-monogamous, poly, etc.) and families work through their challenges and grow stronger together.
Transgender Health Services and Linkage
The transgender health service offers specialized information and support to TruEvolution clients of transgender experience, including information and linkage to Trans health services, access to TruEvoution behavioral health and case management, including assessment and letters of support for gender affirming related surgeries, and individual, couples, and family therapy. Services are available in both English and Spanish.
Support Groups
We offer a range of groups providing support and counseling in San Bernardino and Riverside available in both English and Spanish. Our support groups are open to anyone wishing to enroll as a TruEvolution group member. Support groups are free and open to the public, regardless of their insurance coverage.

Substance Use Assessment & Referral
A case manager can connect you to needed resources when you are concerned about drug, alcohol, sex, and/or internet use. Whether you are seeking to reduce your use or completely stop, our case managers offer a range of referrals to fit your needs and goals, including detox and treatment programs, and ongoing outpatient therapy.
